What the TV app processes. While subtitles are switched on, the app captures the sound of what is playing on your TV and streams it, encrypted, to our speech-recognition and translation service provider to produce the subtitles. Audio is processed in real time to create subtitles and is not stored by us. We never access your screen picture, microphone recordings of the room, or your other apps' data.

What we store. A random device identifier, a one-way hash of your TV's hardware identifier (to count the free trial), the TV model, app version, and how many minutes of subtitles were used. If you subscribe: your email address and payment status from our payment processor (Stripe). We do not see or store card numbers.

What we don't do. No advertising, no selling or sharing of personal data for marketing.

Deleting your data. Email us and we will delete your device and account records.
